LEGACY MUSEUM FIELD TRIP HOSTED BY PRSA GA's DEI COMMITTEE
PRSA GA's Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) committee invites you to join them on a professional and cultural field trip on Friday, February 28, 2025 to Montgomery, Alabama's Legacy Museum and National Memorial for Peace and Justice. Not only will you experience an insightful memorial and museum experience of American history, but the committee is also trying to arrange for a special conversation with the team that promoted the museum at its various significant stages. The committee encourages a multicultural coalition to participate and welcomes all members to join in the cultural learning experience.
Established April 26, 2018 by The Equal Justice Initiative, The Legacy Museum: From Enslavement to Mass Incarceration is located near the former site of one of the most prominent slave auctions in the country and steps away from the rail station that trafficked tens of thousands of enslaved people during the height of the slave trade. It also has the first national memorial dedicated to victims of racial terror lynching.
