Behind the Move: How Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Relocated 202 Patients in a Single Day

On Sept. 29, 2024, the organization successfully transferred 202 patients from its Egleston campus to the newly opened Arthur M. Blank Hospital — an extraordinary feat accomplished in under 12 hours!

Led by Jenna Johnson, Director of Clinical and Physician Communications, and Erin Singer, Director of External Communications, the two will discuss the communications strategies we used to ensure both internal and external audiences were not only informed of the opening of Arthur M. Blank Hospital, but confident and excited about this new facility. They will also explore their team’s process to address the closure of Egleston Hospital — which had been a cornerstone in Atlanta healthcare for nearly a century — to create awareness, excitement, understanding and change in behavior.
